U.S. and Turkey suspend visa services, escalate tensions

The United States is suspending visas for Turkish citizens after the arrest of a U.S. consulate employee in Istanbul.

The American Embassy in Turkey announced it was halting non-immigrant visa services so it can 'reassess the commitment of the Turkish government to the security of U.S. Mission facilities and employees.'
