EU AND UK AIM TO 'ACCELERATE' BREXIT TALKS

The EU and the UK have agreed Brexit negotiations should 'accelerate' in coming months.

It comes after UK Prime Minister Theresa May met European Commission chief Jean-Claude Juncker for talks over dinner in Brussels.

Mrs May is hoping to move negotiations onto future trading relationships after an EU summit later this week.

But Brussels has so far said there hasn't been enough progress on a number of key issues to move to the next phase of talks.

And former NATO negotiator Fabrice Pothier says nothing has changed.
