Trump fails to confirm confidence in chief strategist Bannon

Trump was asked about calls for Bannon's dismissal during a press conference in New York on Tuesday.

As speculation ramps up that U.S. President Donald Trump is set to fire Steve Bannon, one of the architects of his original political victory, the American president has changed his tune on his senior adviser.

It's a change in wording and language that has also happened before other Trump staffers have lost their position.

Instead of calling him by the familiar Steve, President Trump is now denying his role in helping him win the White House.
