India's Prime Minister delivers Independence Day speech

India is celebrating 70 years of Independence. On the occasion, India's Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the nation from the iconic Red Fort in New Delhi.

PM Modi began his fourth address to the nation by condoling the death of the 72 infants who died in a government hospital in the state of Uttar Pradesh. This was the first time the PM spoke of this tragedy six days since the incident took place.
