Hundreds of cinemas in Tamil Nadu shut in protest of tax

Almost 1,000 cinemas in the south Indian state of Tamil Nadu are remaining shut as owners call an indefinite strike in protest of a state entertainment tax.

The Tamil Nadu state government is imposing a 30 per cent entertainment tax.
