Colombia declares state of emergency following mudslide


Colombian President Juan Manuel Santos has declared a state of "economic, social and ecological emergency" in the town of Mocoa, following the deadly mudslide over the weekend.

According to authorities, the death toll currently stands at 270 people, including 43 children.
