New U.S. Defense Secretary makes first foreign trip to Asia

President Donald Trump's defense secretary is expected to underscore U.S. security commitments to key allies South Korea and Japan when he travels to Asia this week.

General James Mattis' first trip as Pentagon chief comes as concerns mount over North Korea's missile program and tensions with China.
