A UN official is reporting that thousands of Syrians are slowly making they way back to war-ravaged East Aleppo, braving freezing temperatures to return to their homes, many of which have been destroyed.
For the returning Syrians, this is the first step to restarting their lives, after the Syrian government's recapture of the former rebel-held city.
