Trump to get intelligence briefing, US identifies Russian hacking agents

U.S. officials say they know who the agents were behind a string of Russian hacking attacks, aimed at derailing last year's presidential election.

Names have not been made public, but they're accused of dumping stolen emails from the U.S. Democratic party to whistleblowing outfit Wikileaks- in a bid to influence the election in Donald Trump's favour.

Intelligence officials are briefing the incoming Republican president over the claims, ahead of a redacted report to be released next week.
