Italy Calls For Independent Agencies to Fight Fake News

Italy's anti-trust chief says independent agencies need to be set up across Europe to combat the rise and spread of false information on social media. 

This comes just a few days after the president of the European Commission called on social media companies to crack down on so called fake news.
