Downing St: "There is no vacancy" for British-US ambassador

The British government has dismissed a suggestion from US President-elect Donald Trump that the lead Brexit figure Nigel Farage could be the next British ambassador to the US...

In a tweet, Mr Trump said "many people" would like to see Mr Farage - who is the interm leader of the UK Independence Party - represent Great Britain in the US - adding "he would do a great job."
