MEPs debate suspending talks on Turkey joining EU

The European Parliament is holding a debate on whether to suspend Turkey's bid to join the EU.

A number of MEPs say the crackdown on opposition in Turkey since the failed coup attempt on July 15th means the talks on membership are no longer credible.
