The intervention in Libya which led to the overthrow of leader Muammar Gaddafi in 2011 lacked a coherent strategy and was informed by inaccurate intelligence, according to a new report.
Britain's foreign affairs committee says the British and French-led intervention contributed to the rise of the Islamic State in north Africa.
And it says the operation ended up amounting to 'opportunistic regime change'.
