Apple's Tim Cook Calls EU Tax Decision 'Maddening'

The Chief Executive of Apple, Tim Cook, has called the EU's decision to make the company hand over up 14.5 billion dollars [13 billion euros/11 billion pounds] in unpaid Irish taxes 'maddening' and 'disappointing'.

Mr. Cook said he's confident that Tuesday's ruling, which said that the Irish government had effectively provided illegal state aid to Apple, will be overturned on appeal.
