The British Prime Minister David Cameron says he wants to make sure his country doesn't turn its back on Europe as he arrives at a summit of EU leaders in Brussels.
It's the first time all 28 leaders are meeting since the British public voted to leave the European Union with a 52 per cent majority during a referendum last week.
Voices across the european continent are calling for the UK to begin the process of its divorce from the EU as soon as possible but David Cameron, who says he's stepping down before October, insists his successor will be the one to do that.
The leaders of France, Germany and Italy have all said no formal or informal talks will take place on the process until the UK officially submits its application to leave.
The UK Prime Minister David Cameron will be involved in talks with the other leaders Tuesday but won't be in the room when their meetings resume Wednesday.
