UN carries out air drop of aid

The United Nations has air dropped aid into Syria for the first time
days before a cessation of hostilities is due to come into affect.

21 tonnes of humanitarian supplies have been dropped on a
government-controlled part of Deir al-Zour besieged by the
self-proclaimed Islamic State.
