CAMERON SETTING OUT SYRIA AIR STRIKE PLANS

UK Prime Minister David Cameron is setting out his case (in Parliament around 11.15GMT) for British air strikes against Islamic State targets in Syria.

At present the UK is only involved in military operations over Iraq.

David Cameron says he has a 'comprehensive strategy' for tackling IS which takes in diplomatic, economic and humanitarian issues as well as an extension of air strikes.

There could be a parliamentary vote to approve action in Syria as early as next week.

Labour MP Dan Jarvis is one of many opposition lawmakers preparing to possibly vote with the Prime Minister.
