UK TO ACCEPT MORE REFUGEES

The UK is working on a plan to accept more refugees as Europe's migrant crisis continues.

It follows growing pressure on UK Prime Minister David Cameron to do more on the issue.

Mr Cameron spoke of being 'deeply moved' after seeing pictures of a drowned Syrian boy on a Turkish beach.

It's understood he will announce plans to accept thousands more refugees from UN camps around Syria's borders, and not from the hundreds of thousands of people who have already traveled to Europe.

The UK's shadow immigration minister David Hanson says a figure of around 10 000 would be appropriate.
