Egypt is pressing ahead with an offensive in its Sinai Peninsula after fighting with militants aligned with the Islamic State killed over 100 people.
Simultaneous raids by IS fighters on military checkpoints killed 17 Egyptian soldiers and Egyptian military officials claim dozens of militants have been killed too.
