The United States is putting a brave face on a decision by the Saudi king to stay away from a meeting of Persian Gulf leaders that is due to take place at Camp David this week.
Many analysts in the United States are interpreting the move by King Salman as a snub because of Riyadh's opposition to President Obama's proposed nuclear deal with Iran.
