OVER 6200 CONFIRMED DEAD IN NEPAL QUAKE

Over 6200 people have now been confirmed dead following Nepal's earthquake.

The Red Cross says areas it has reached near the epicentre of the quake are a scene of "almost total devastation".

Protests have broken out in some areas of Nepal in anger at the slow flow of aid to affected people, nearly a week after the quake.

There is a shortage of helicopters, meaning that Nepalese officials still don't know the fate of thousands in remote areas.

On Thursday a teenaged boy and a woman were pulled from rubble in the capital Kathmandu.

Rob Davis from the search and rescue charity SARAID says there may well be more people who can still be saved.
