CHURCH OF ENGLAND CUTS INVESTMENTS IN FOSSIL FUEL FIRMS

The Church of England says it is cutting its investment in fossil fuel companies as a moral position on climate change.

The Church has three investment funds worth over ten billion dollars.

It will now sell investments in companies where over 10% of revenue comes from extracting thermal coal or on producing oil from tar sands.

Danny Cox of stockbroker Hargreaves Lansdown says it's a significant move from a significant investor.
