FIFA TO VOTE ON NEXT PRESIDENT

FIFA's members will vote later in a presidential election which could see Sepp Blatter re-elected for a fifth term despite a corruption scandal.

The only challenger at the Zurich vote is Prince Ali bin-al Hussein of Jordan.

Mr Blatter is refusing to step down after seven FIFA officials were arrested in Zurich in a US fraud inquiry.

Swiss authorities are also investigating the bidding process for the 2018 and 2022 World Cups which went to Russia and Qatar.

Jonathan Calvert, who has written books on FIFA, still thinks Blatter will be re-elected.
