The White House has confirmed that the U.S. embassy in Sana'a Yemen is shut, but counter-terrorism operations will continue.
Officially, the Yemeni government has been shut down since January 22 and multiple governments have evacuated their citizens and diplomats.
With reports of the Houthi militants trying to remove the weapons from the U.S. Marine guard, representatives of the Houthi political bureau says they want to work with the Americans.
White House spokesman Josh Earnest confirmed the embassy closure.
