Senior US officials to address major American Jewish conference

The Obama administration is sending two top American officials to address AIPAC - the huge annual gathering of Americans who support Israel.

They will be the counterpoint to Israeli President Benjamin Netanyahu, who is set to speak to the conference in addition to his controversial address to a joint session of the of the U.S. Congress.

With U.S.-Israeli relations in poor shape over the Republican invitation to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to address the U.S. Congress, White House Spokesman Josh Earnest says (optimistically) that the delegation of National Security Adviser Susan Rice and U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Samantha Power to address AIPAC will be seen in a positive light.
