Britain's Security faces questions over Jihadi John

It's understood that British counter-terrorism officers were aware of Jihadi John's real identity from as early as last September, though still decline to reveal his name for operational reasons.

Mohammed Emwazi was known to Britain's MI5 intelligence agency, raising questions over why and how was he allowed to travel into Syria without being stopped.

The UK's Prime Minister David Cameron however, has backed the work carried out by UK intelligence agencies and urged the public to support the work done by the UK's security forces in keeping the country safe
