Yemen turmoil threatens US anti-terror efforts

The turmoil in Yemen is complicating efforts of western nations and others to combat the regional branch of Al Qaeda.

Shia Houthi rebels have seized the presidential palace, further tightening their grip on the capital Sanaa.

Supporters of the country's President Abdrabbuh Mansour Hadi - an important US ally - say it amounts to a coup.

As Malcolm Brown reports, the instability threatens a pillar of the Obama administration's   counterterrorism strategy.
