Prosecution wins right to appeal Pistorius verdict

INTRO: Prosecutors have won their bid to appeal the culpable homicide verdict handed down to Olympic and Paralympic athlete Oscar Pistorius for killing his girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp. The State will now seek a murder conviction. Pistorius was found guilty of the lesser crime and sentenced to five years in prison. He could be eligible for parole in about 9 months.
