Iran "looking forward" to closer co-operation with EU over Islamic State threat

Iran is looking forward to better relations with the EU as Italian foreign minister Federica Mogherini takes over as foreign policy chief, Iranian foreign minister Javad Zarif said after talks with Mogherini in Rome on Thursday morning.
As the NATO summit gets underway in Wales, Zarif said Europe and Iran needed to work closely together to combat the Islamic State.
