Los Angeles police not investigating Will Smith's Oscar slap

The Los Angeles Police say they won't be investigating Will Smith's slap of Chris Rock, unless the comedian files a complaint.

So far Chris Rock has declined to file a police report.

Russia to restrict visas for foreigners from "unfriendly states" including the US

Russian President Vladimir Putin is set to sign a presidential decree, restricting visas for foreigners from a raft of “unfriendly states”.

The list includes, among others: the U.S. and Canada, the U.K. and all European Union states, in retaliation for sanctions against Russia.


The move comes as western unity against Russia shows further sign of strain.

Officials clarify regime change in Russia is not US policy following President Biden's remarks in Poland.

Officials in the United States have been busy clarifying unscripted comments about Vladimir Putin made by President Joe Biden during his trip to Poland.

At the end of Saturday's speech on Russia's invasion of Ukraine, Mr Biden said Russia's Vladimir Putin "cannot remain in power".

Evidence of mass graves growing in Mariupol, theater death toll at 300

The United Nations monitoring mission in Ukraine says there is more evidence of mass graves in the besieged port city of Mariupol. 

Total civilian casualties are hard to verify given the city has been under Russian bombardments for weeks.

But 300 people are now thought to have died in the theater attack alone.

Wife of Supreme Court judge urged 2020 election overturn

Virginia Thomas, the wife of US Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas, repeatedly urged White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows to overturn the 2020 Presidential election. 


That's according to text messages she sent, which Mr Meadows then turned over to a House committee investigating the January 6th Capitol riot.
