Two National Guard troops critically injured in “targeted” shooting near White House

Two US National Guard troops are fighting for their lives, after being shot on Wednesday two blocks from the White House. Officials say a lone gunman is now in custody. US media is reporting that he is a 29-year-old Afghan national who immigrated on a special visa following the US withdrawal in 2021, although that hasn't been confirmed by officials. Judge drops Trump’s historic election interference racketeering case

A judge in Georgia has dismissed a historic racketeering case against President Donald Trump over his efforts to overturn the 2020 elections.  The dismissal came after the state prosecutor Peter Skandalakis, filed a motion to drop the criminal charges. Skandalakis took over the case from Fulton County District attorney Fani Willis was disqualified after having a romantic relationship with a special prosecutor she hired to lead the case. Trump defends Witkoff over call to Russian offical

Mother sentenced to life in prison for New Zealand's 'suitcase murders'
