Former French president Nicolas Sarkozy released from prison

The former French president Nicolas Sarkozy has been granted conditional release from prison pending an appeal trial.

He was jailed last month after being found guilty of criminal conspiracy over allegations that he sought funding from the Gaddafi regime in Libya for his 2007 election campaign.

Turkish delegation to visit Pakistan this week
