US prices fall unexpectedly, increasing Fed rate cut probability

US wholesale prices fell unexpectedly in August increasing the chance
of an interest rate cut.

President Donald Trump reacted to the news by again criticizing
Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell and urging him to lower

Russia denies it aimed to hit Poland with drones

Russian Defense Ministry said it had no targets set in Poland during Tuesday night attack on Ukrainian military facilities. Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk said that at least 19 Russian drones entered the country's airspace late Tuesday night and early Wednesday morning, some were shot down by the Polish military. Belarus said it exchanged information with the Polish authorities about some drones that "lost their way" nearing Polish border and also shot down some of them. Daria Bondarchuk reports from Moscow.

100,000 people expected at protests across France, new prime minister to take office

100,000 people are expected at protests across France on Wednesday as part of the so-called 'Block Everything' movement against the government and the budget.

Hundreds of people have already been arrested by police at demonstrations up and down the country.
