French PM submits resignation to president, search for successor begins

The French prime minister François Bayrou has formally submitted his resignation, and that of his government, to President Macron.

It comes after he lost a confidence vote on Monday, and the search is under way for his successor, with the leaders of different parties trying to position themselves to take over.

South Korea to send plane for workers detained in US raid

INTRO: South Korea plans to send a chartered plane as early as Wednesday to bring back hundreds of workers detained in a US immigration raid, the country's flag carrier Korean Air told the AFP news agency.

NYC mayor Adams denies reports he's dropping reelection bid

New York City Mayor Eric Adams says he has no plans to quit his
re-election campaign.

It comes after reports the head of the US' largest city was being
lured away by a job at the White House.
