REPORTS: TRUMP TO MEET PUTIN WITHIN DAYS

Donald Trump says there's a "good chance" of face-to-face talks soon with the leaders of Russia and Ukraine.

It follows discussions between Vladimir Putin and the US special envoy in Moscow on Wednesday.

It's reported the Russian and American Presidents could meet as soon as next week.

This as the US threatens further sanctions if Russia doesn't agree a ceasefire by Friday.

Former UK Defence Secretary Ben Wallace isn't optimistic about talks that lead to a sustainable peace.

Witkoff expected in Moscow on Wednesday as Trump & Zelensky talk

U.S. President Donald Trump's special envoy Steve Witkoff is expected to visit Moscow on Wednesday, according to Russia's state news agency.

Meanwhile Ukrainian officials say the American president spoke to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on Tuesday.
