Ukraine passes controversial corruption bill

Ukraine has passed a controversial bill that critics say will weaken the independence of key anti-corruption agencies.

The bill was signed into law by the president at a crucial time for Ukraine after the announcement of increased US support, and with Kyiv and Moscow holding a third round of talks on Wednesday over a possible ceasefire.

Lawsuit in France relating to airbags responsible for at least 60 deaths in 11 countries

NOT GUILTY PLEA ENTERED FOR MAN ACCUSED OF KILLING DAUGHTER IN UPSTATE NEW YORK

A not guilty plea has been entered on behalf of a Canadian man accused of murdering his 9-year-old daughter, Melina, in upstate New York over the weekend.

Police say 45-year-old Luciano Frattolin called 911 on Saturday night, claiming that men had abducted his daughter after he pulled over in a parking lot to go to the bathroom.
