One dead after Tesla Cybertruck explodes outside of Trump Tower in Vegas

A Tesla Cybertruck has exploded in front of the Trump International Hotel in Las Vegas, killing the driver and injuring seven others.

Authorities are investigating it as a possible terrorist incident.

Death toll rises to 15 in New Orleans vehicle attack

The death toll has risen to at least fifteen people after a man drove a pickup truck through a crowd of New Year's Eve revellers in New Orleans.

US President Joe Biden said the US-born attacker, who was killed in a shootout with police, was "inspired by" the Islamic State terror group.

South Korea jet crash prompts concerns over budget carrier repairs

The crash of a South Korean passenger jet on Sunday has prompted concerns over maintenance challenges by low-cost carriers.

DEAD SUSPECT "NOT SOLELY RESPONSIBLE" FOR NEW ORLEANS ATTACK - FBI

The FBI says it believes the suspect in the New Orleans New Year's attack wasn't acting alone before he plowed through a crowd of revelers, killing at least ten people.

It also revealed that the man, a former member of the U.S. military, had an Islamic State flag tied to the back of his pickup truck.

Reports: Suspect in New Orleans vehicle attack identified

Citing law enforcement sources, multiple media outlets have identified the man accused of driving a truck into a crowd of New Year's revellers in New Orleans as 42-year-old Shamsud-Din Jabaar.

At least 10 people were killed in the attack and the suspect was then shot and killed by police.

10 Dead In New Orleans Attack

At least 10 people have died and 30 others injured after a truck was driven into a crowd of people in New Orleans.


2 police officers were then shot by the driver of the vehicle.


It happened on Bourbon Street in the busy French quarter of the city in the early hours of New Year's day.


Police say the driver was "hell bent on creating carnage".

36,000+ Migrants Cross Channel To UK In 2024

Over 36,000 migrants crossed the English Channel in 2024 according to the latest figures released by the UK government. 

The number of crossings is an increase of 25 percent from 2023, but significantly less than record numbers in 2022.

UK Energy Bills Increase Again

Household bills in the UK have risen again, and are now about 50% higher than they were before the pandemic.


After a new price cap was introduced the annual bill for a typical household's gas and electricity is now £1738 ($2176).


With warnings of further price rises, campaign groups are calling for government help to roll out a programme of improved insulation, to help keep bills down.
