Court rules TikTok can be banned in US

A US federal appeals court has upheld a law which could ban TikTok from the country.


On Friday, the Court of Appeals ruled the social media app had to be sold, saying its ownership by a China-based company represents a national security threat.

Third day of New York shooting manhunt underway

Police in the US are still looking for the suspect accused of shooting Brian Thompson, the CEO of one of the country's largest health insurance companies.


Thompson, who led UnitedHealthcare, died on Wednesday outside a Manhattan hotel.


A manhunt is underway to find the gunman, with the New York Police Department investigating whether the suspect may have left the city after the shooting.

South Koreans face danger if Yoon stays - ruling party chief
