UN continues to raise concerns about attacks on Peacekeepers in Lebanon

The United Nations says it remains concerned about the attacks on UN
Peacekeepers in Southern Lebanon,
with the Secretary General warning that any attacks on peacekeepers
"may constitute a war crime".
On Sunday, the UN reported another attack on a Peacekeeping base in Lebanon.
The fourth time in as many days.

Nigeria’s National Football Team Stranded in Libya Ahead of AFCON Qualifier

Nigeria's National Men's football team, the Super Eagles have been left stranded at Libya's Abraq International Airport.


Nigeria's Football Federation says the team was stranded for over 10 hours after Libyan authorities forced their flight to land at Abraq Airport instead of Benghazi Airport where they're scheduled to play a match with the Libyan team.

UK Condemns Attacks on UN Peacekeepers In Lebanon

The UK and 40 other nations have condemned attacks on United Nations peacekeepers in Lebanon. 

At least 5 UN peacekeepers have been injured so far, with Israeli forces coming under international pressure to stop firing on UN positions.

Paris Auto Show begins as China and Europe drive closer to trade war over EV tariffs

Israel says it's investigating how a Hezbollah drone attack evaded its air defence systems and killed four soldiers at a military base in the north of the country.

But the US has called on its ally to do more to protect UN peacekeepers in southern Lebanon after they were urged to leave by Israel.

Police continue investigations into murder of politician Baba Siddique in Mumbai

US to send air defence kit to Israel

The United States will deploy a sophisticated high-altitude anti-missile system to Israel to help bolster its air defences. 


The Terminal High-Altitude Area Defence — or THAAD — battery is being sent along with 100 American troops to help operate it. 


It comes after Iran launched two direct missile attacks on Israel this year.

Hundreds of people rescued following Hurricane Milton's landfall in Florida

People living in the hurricane-hit U.S. state of Florida are picking up the pieces on Friday from the devastating winds and flood-level waters.
At least 16 people are known to have died. And more than two million people are still without power.
But there have been lucky escapes - hundreds of people were rescued from the worst of Hurricane Milton.

Immigration features again on Presidential campaign trail

Another attack reported on UN peacekeeper in southern Lebanon

Another United Nations Peacekeeping facility has been hit in southern Lebanon.
Two peacekeepers were injured after two explosions occurred close to
an observation tower according to the UN.
