Police are investigating the murder of former state minister Baba Siddique which took place in India's financial capital Mumbai on Saturday.
Three people have been arrested after Siddique was shot near the office of his son, who is also a politician.
The murder - which is widely being linked to the gang of a notorious gangster - comes ahead of elections which are due to be held in the state next month.
