Trump agrees to FBI interview over attempted assassination

Former US President Donald Trump has agreed to be interviewed by the
FBI over his attempted assassination.

It comes as the acting director of the Secret Service faces tough
questions on Capitol Hill about the security failures at the rally in
Pennsylvania where Trump was shot.

Southport Knife Attack, Three Children Killed, 9 Injured.

UK authorities say three children were killed and nine injured by a knifeman in an attack in Southport, north-west England on Monday.


Five of the children remain in critical condition, as well as two adults.


Merseyside Police says it believes the injured adults were "bravely" trying to protect the children being attacked.

Nigeria’s Government Approves the Sale of Crude Oil to Dangote Refinery in Naira

Nigeria's government has approved the sale of crude oil to the Dangote refinery in the local currency, the Naira.


The government asked the state-owned oil company, Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) Limited to sell the crude to Dangote and other refineries with immediate effect.


The decision was reached at the Federal Executive Council meeting in Abuja on Monday, putting an end to the dispute between Dangote refinery and oil regulators over crude supply.

US presidential candidates drum up support

US Vice President Kamala Harris' campaign has raised $200 million since President Joe Biden dropped out of the race and endorsed her, according to her team.


The campaign says it has 170,000 new volunteers, and the "momentum and energy for Vice President Harris is real", according to its communications director.


It comes after a weekend of campaigning for both Harris and former President Donald Trump, as the US presidential election draws closer.
