Northwest India braces for more heatwaves amid elections

India's northwest region is bracing for more heatwave days ahead of voting in the final two phases of national elections.

Parts of the national capital New Delhi recorded temperatures as high as 47.8 degrees Celsius this week, the highest anywhere in the country.

AI companies make fresh safety promise at Seoul summit

Biden administration signals support for sanctioning ICC officials over Israel warrants

Trump doesn't take stand in hush money trial

Donald Trump will not testify in his hush money trial in New York City, despite previously pledging to do so.


The defence rested its case on Tuesday without the former US president taking the stand - triggering the final stages of the historic trial.

As Indian spice brands face global scrutiny over contamination, the government says it is carrying out inspections in several processing plants across the country.


The Spices Board of India says steps are being taken to ensure that exports of all brands meet the specific requirements of the respective export destinations.
