As Indian spice brands face global scrutiny over contamination, the government says it is carrying out inspections in several processing plants across the country.
The Spices Board of India says steps are being taken to ensure that exports of all brands meet the specific requirements of the respective export destinations.
This comes after Nepal, Singapore and Hong Kong banned certain products of popular Indian spice brands MDH and Everest.
