EU ambassadors target Russian gas sector

European Union Ambassadors Wednesday are discussing sanctions that
would target Russia's liquified natural gas sector for the first time.

But the move has received pushback from Hungary that remains reliant
on Russian LNG.

India yet to respond to Astrazeneca's decision to withdraw Covid vaccine worldwide

Pharmaceutical giant AstraZeneca on Wednesday announced the global withdrawal of its Covid-19 vaccine.

In India and other low-and-middle-income countries, it was manufactured and supplied under the name "Covishield" by the Serum Institute of India.

The Serum Institute and the Indian government are yet to make a comment on the development.

UK E-GATE ISSUE RESOLVED AFTER LONG DELAYS

The UK says a technical issue which caused huge delays at passport e-gates at airports has now been resolved.

Long queues started forming on Tuesday night local time when the machines which rely on facial recognition stopped working.

Airports including Heathrow, Edinburgh, Birmingham and Manchester were impacted.

Officials say there is no sign of 'malicious' activity being behind the outage.

Judge refuses Trump's mistrial request following Stormy Daniels testimony

TikTok sues over potential US ban

TikTok and its Chinese parent company ByteDance have sued the US government over a new law that could potentially see the platform  banned nationwide within a year…unless it's sold to a non-Chinese company. US President says no tolerance for anti-semitism on campuses, speaking at a Holocaust event

Israel Takes Control Of Rafah Crossing

The Israeli military says it's taken operational control of the Palestinian side of the Rafah Crossing in southern Gaza, and says it's conducted "targeted strikes" in eastern Rafah.


This comes after Israel rejected Hamas' agreement to a ceasefire deal proposed by Egypt and Qatar saying the terms are unacceptable, with an Israeli delegation on the way to Cairo to negotiate further.


The UN has called for an agreement to be reached, warning of the humanitarian consequences of aid not being allowed through crossings into Gaza and of an Israeli assault on Rafah.

Disruption as Fresh Wave of Train Strikes Across UK
