Matteo Salvini slams EU regulators over investigation into Lufthansa-ITA Airways deal


Italy's Deputy Prime Minister Matteo Salvini has slammed the European Commission over its antitrust investigation into Lufthansa's deal to buy a minority stake in ITA Airways.

This week the European Commission said the plan could restrict competition on routes in and out of Italy.

Search and rescue efforts continue after Baltimore bridge disaster

A search and rescue operation is underway in the United States after a cargo vessel slammed into the central support pillar of one of the largest bridges on America's eastern seaboard.


The bridge in Baltimore collapsed within seconds, with an unknown number of motorists and other people swept into the icy river beneath it.


Early reports suggest the vessel suffered a cataursophic power failure moments before the accident.

Ship involved in Baltimore bridge collapse had all Indian crew on board

New trial date set in Trump hush money case
