UK GOVT URGED TO TAKE TOUGHER STANCE ON CHINA

The UK government's under growing pressure to toughen its stance on China after it blamed Beijing for a cyber attack on the UK's election watchdog.

Sanctions were announced on Monday following the hack in 2021.

But some MPs say they don't go far enough - and want China labelled a "threat" to national security.
