Hungarian Parliament Set To Ratify Sweden's NATO Accession

Hungary's Parliament is set to ratify Sweden's NATO accession on Monday, clearing the last hurdle in the path of completing its membership of the bloc.

Sweden applied to join the North Atlantic Treaty Organisation two years ago, in a major departure from their long held position of neutrality.

Having overcome Turkey's opposition, Hungary was the last member state blocking Sweden's application. However following talks on Friday Hungary's Prime Minister said he had managed to rebuild trust.
