Anti-Muslim hate rises in US

There's been a jump in cases of anti-Muslim and anti-Palestinian discrimination and hate in the US since the October 7th Hamas attack on Israel 


Complaints increased by nearly 180 per cent in the three months afterwards, according to the Council on American-Islamic Relations.

US border reforms could be unveiled this week

US lawmakers could unveil sweeping new border reforms this week, according to sources.


After weeks of closed-door negotiations, a bipartisan immigration proposal could be on the cards - marking the first major policy overhaul since the 1990s.


The bill would aim to reduce unprecedented levels of illegal crossings along the southern border.

Italian PM Giorgia Meloni unveils $6 billion plan to invest in Africa


Italy's Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni has unveiled a 6 billion dollar plan to invest in Africa at a summit in Rome.

More than 20 leaders from the continent have flown in for the Italy-Africa summit.

Giorgia Meloni says her "Mattei Plan", named after the founder of Italian oil giant Eni, will also help to reduce illegal migration across the Mediterranean Sea.

China may appoint new envoy to India soon

China may soon have a new ambassador to India.
