Italian PM Giorgia Meloni unveils $6 billion plan to invest in Africa


Italy's Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni has unveiled a 6 billion dollar plan to invest in Africa at a summit in Rome.

More than 20 leaders from the continent have flown in for the Italy-Africa summit.

Giorgia Meloni says her "Mattei Plan", named after the founder of Italian oil giant Eni, will also help to reduce illegal migration across the Mediterranean Sea.
