Russia and Ukraine hold biggest prisoner swap since 2022 invasion

Russia and Ukraine held the biggest exchange of war prisoners since February 2022 invasion. In a deal mediated by the United Arab Emirates Moscow and Kiev swapped over two hundred captive soldiers each. The arrangement was not hampered by massive missile strikes Moscow has launched against Ukraine on New Year's eve. Kiev says another prisoner exchange may happen in the next couple of weeks. FTSE 100 Bosses To Earn More Than Average UK Yearly Salary In Three Days


A new report finds that the bosses of the UKs biggest companies will earn more than the average worker's yearly salary in just three days. 


According to calculations by the High Pay Centre think tank, FTSE 100 CEOs will make more than 44,000 US Dollars by Thursday afternoon in the UK.

Sierra Leone charges ex-president Koroma with treason over coup attempt


Sierra Leone has charged its former leader, Ernest Bai Koroma with treason for allegedly taking part in a coup attempt last year.

Clinton & Trump among Epstein court document names

Former US presidents Bill Clinton and Donald Trump are among the list
of people named in court documents with connections to the late sex
offender Jeffrey Epstein.

A judge in New York allowed the release of the papers as part of a
lawsuit related to Epstein's associate Ghislaine Maxwell, who is
serving a 20-year jail sentence for sex-trafficking crimes.

Epstein took his own life while awaiting trial in New York in 2019.

Biden address to attack Trump on democracy

US President Joe Biden's re-election campaign says he'll be making a major speech this week to mark the anniversary of the attacks on the Capitol building.


His January 6th address, planned at a historic Revolutionary War site, will be used to make the case that his top rival for the Oval Office, Donald Trump, poses an existential threat to democracy.

More than 100 dead in explosions in Iran
